🎨 Meet Lily: The Creative Heart of the Family

Being a Charleston Elf is more than a kind gesture—it is a commitment to providing a child the full holiday experience they deserve. While you are not required to purchase every single item on their wish list, the expectation is that each Elf provides the child with all of their holiday gifts. We understand that not everyone can take on that level of commitment alone and warmly encourage you to team up with friends, family, or coworkers who would like to make a meaningful impact as well.

Lily's Story

Lily is Atticus’ 7-year-old little sister, and she’s full of imagination and talent. She loves spending time making beautiful arts and crafts, turning simple materials into colorful masterpieces. Music is another passion—whether she’s humming along to her favorite tunes or creating her own rhythms, Lily brings joy and creativity wherever she goes. Her artistic spirit and love for music make her a bright light in her family, always adding color and harmony to every day.
Atticus’s Fight with Cancer…….
Atticus Hampton is an energetic and courageous eight-year-old boy from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. On September 29, 2024, Atticus was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. His diagnosis included a high-risk FLT3 genetic mutation, which made his treatment even more challenging.
He underwent five rounds of intense chemotherapy at Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital at MUSC in Charleston, SC. On April 10, 2025, Atticus’ family received the joyful news that he was cancer-free! Because of his FLT3 mutation, the next step in his journey was a lifesaving stem cell transplant from an anonymous donor.
In the following months, Atticus endured total body irradiation and highly aggressive chemotherapy regimens to prepare. In total, he spent over 220 days in the hospital. On August 25, 2025, he was finally able to come home. Today, Atticus’ scans and his myeloid molecular panel is negative—strong signs of hope for his future.
Atticus has a special love for football and rarely misses a chance to stand on the sidelines at Socastee High School games. He is passionate about baseball, playing catcher, and he can’t wait to get back on the field with his teammates. His community proudly wears “Play Like Atticus” shirts and hats as a show of support for his bravery and resilience that he shares every single day—
Always playing, always believing, always fighting.
